COMMUNITY OUTREACH

With humility, honor, and gratitude, we desire to love our city so that all who live here have an opportunity to hear the Gospel and meet, know, and love Jesus. We intentionally look for opportunities to serve our schools, our businesses, nonprofits, and the greater community as a whole through acts that involve our whole body.

Outreach Opportunities

Throughout the year, we have many events to help organizations in our community:

Power Pack
A local organization where the Rock has adopted a local school to provide meals for students who may not otherwise eat on the weekends at home.

Mechanics Monday
Mechanics Monday is an incredible opportunity for young people to gain hands-on experience with how cars work - and all while doing something good! Our 11–18 year old boys get together every week on Mondays from 6:00-8:00 PM at The Rock Church Bay (east side of building), where they use their skills to restore vehicles as part of this ministry. For more information, don't hesitate to call the church office at 928-259-7957 or contact Director Dustin Coleman directly on 618-237-3801.

Freezer Meals
Meals prepared by the congregation used for any need anyone might have. They are free to be taken to anyone in need or for yourself.

Blessing Bags
Twice a year, we prepare gift bags of goodies along with faith-based encouragement to give out to those who are hurting in our own workplaces and neighborhoods.

AZ Baptist Children’s Crisis Pregnancy Center
We support this organization through creating baskets for their auction, baby bottle fundraising, and remodeling their visitation rooms.

Rock Round-up
FUNdraising carnival event with live music, fun and games, food and snacks in support of Samaritan's Purse, a non-denominational outreach. The funds are used to purchase livestock and bees for impoverished families around the world who need food and sustainable income. The missionaries share the Gospel as they donate the animals.

The Rock 'N Glow 5K Run

5K NYE Rock and Glow Run
A run/walk partnering with the city of Yuma to promote health and provide a family-friendly activity on New Year's Eve. The Rock wants to be a light to this community.

Crafty Club
Any female at the Rock can gather together to sew, knit, crochet, or the like, items that will be given to those in need in our community as a gift of love from The Rock Church.

Rock Tour Bus
Every Saturday, the Rock Tour Bus provides fresh food, a refreshing shower and bathroom facilities, haircuts, free clothes & shoes, and a small Gospel message and Bible, all for free. In addition, caring people are on site to greet people, love them, befriend them, know their stories, and offer them the love and forgiveness found in Jesus Christ.

Rock’n Relay
The Rock partners with Relay for Life to host a booth for the annual event providing prayer and hope and carne asada tacos as we raise funding to stamp out cancer.

Women’s Expo
We provide a prayer booth for any woman needing prayer.

If you would like to be a part of the any of the above outreach opportunities, please connect with us. We’d love to have you as part of the team!
